From its humble beginnings in 1909 as a small field and a handful of enthusiasts, Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club has evolved into a renowned polo venue, hosting some of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments attended by dignitaries from all over the world. This distinctive mark blends both a global community and storied heritage of the sport of kings.
The elements of this simple, memorable mark include an upward-facing horseshoe (a sign of good luck) and a stylized SB monogram conveying a key aspect of the project—its coveted Santa Barbara address. The horseshoe’s curvature, akin to an embrace, is suggestive of close-knit camaraderie and a locale that opens up to Pacific shores.
